Anthia'sPriorities
First things first. Let's talk about the obvious. We cannot confuse partisanship labels with the foremost thing we have in common... Georgia is our home.
Regardless of your economic situation, it's not rocket science to see many folks are grappling with the unsteady economy. Soaring prices are rampant, people are barely making ends meet and children and seniors are going without basic necessities. As a matter of fact, isn't it time the issues that really matter most to you get addressed with impactful solutions that build a better future?
Forgetting no one, I will do what I have always done relentlessly championing Put People First!
Economy

The Economy Effects Everyone's Quality of Life
No matter what your income bracket is,
life is expensive. Everything has gone up astronomically, leaving many feeling the strain of rising costs. Throwing money at broken systems will not work.
My priorities are straightforward:
-
Support legislation that attracts lucrative jobs
-
Put Georgia taxpayers first; seek solutions to ensure long-term prosperity for the future by protecting workers and supporting small business owners
You do better with more hard-earned money in your pocket and pocketbook.
Education

Quality Education for Every Student
Do you agree Georgia's children deserve to grow up healthy, educated and safe?
I understand that my experience as a public school, private school, homeschool parent and newly trained Montessori Guide [teacher] is unique. However, as a mother, the daughter of a retired paraeducator, and family member of educators, I know firsthand the triumphs and challenges students, teachers, and school administrators face in today’s education system. Georgia's students deserve the best.
My priorities are straightforward:
-
Support and retain educators
-
Fund public schools with sustainable investments
-
Advance and enable pathways of success for all learners
-
Support funding CPR in schools
Education should be free of partisan politics.
Health & Wellness

First Class Health Care a Human Right
Access to health care is an essential part of life. A high percentage of Georgians remain uninsured. As a Certified Medical Assistant and Basic Life Support CPR Instructor, I believe you should not have to use all the money you made to get back the health you lost. Add to that, health care is a huge cost especially as you age. Health and wellness should be prioritized in our lives.
What is your health worth to you?
My priorities are straightforward:
-
Foster a framework that ensures health care is accessible, cost effective, and efficient
-
Assure adequate provision and destigmatize mental health
-
Never infringe upon anyone's decision about their body or healthcare choices
-
Address and eliminate critical disparities in perinatal health for mothers and babies
Georgians want (no need) affordable and accessible health care.
Seniors

Seniors Deserve Top-Notch Care
Living on a fixed income, no senior should have to leave retirement to afford basic necessities. Food benefits of $23 per month should not insult single grandmas and grandpas who seek help. We must help them navigate the challenges they face. I stand tall in my commitment to Georgia's seniors who list financial security, health care, food insecurity and drug costs as their biggest concerns.
My priorities are straightforward:
-
Strengthen SNAP benefits allowance
-
(ALCs) Assisted Living Communities should be able to enroll as Medicaid providers and receive Medicaid funds by amending Georgia's assisted living community statute
Every senior is worthy of respect.
Veterans

Veterans Deserve More Respect
As a wife and daughter of veterans, I am honored to advocate for our active duty troops and veterans. I am familiar with the treatment veterans receive. It's not uncommon for veterans to wait 45 minutes on the phone and get disconnected or receive important emails with incomplete information. It’s our duty to make sure they have the resources and support they need.
We must enhance support for the men and women who bravely put themselves on the front lines of danger to help keep our families safe today and in the past.
My priorities are straightforward:
-
Address access within the health care system
We should uplift those who have sacrificed a great deal for our freedoms and our families.
People Not Politics

Maintaining a High Quality of Life
My priorities are straightforward:
-
Work to foster equitable solutions and treatment for all citizens of Georgia
A life long Georgian, growing up in the state has given me an appreciation for the unique culture and customs that make our state so special and I love to share stories of my experiences growing up in the south.
Georgia is incredibly diverse and parts of my beloved Peach State and its policies and social programs are heartwarming. But, our state's lack of "Southern Hospitality" for some of our own troubles me. Forgetting no one, policies that make a difference in the well-being, dignity and health of all Georgians must be the priority.
