Tireless Volunteer

With more than two decades of Christian ministry behind her, an ordained minister and service minded leader, Anthia seeks to help people of all walks of life by sparking genuine connections. The warmth and humility she possesses, as well as her genuine love of people and GOD, has led to her counseling and touching many lives.

Brimming with wisdom and good-natured guidance, Anthia is real and relatable. With her amazing ability to recognize other people's emotions, she makes you feel seen and heard. More to the point, Anthia has a remarkable capacity to create an equal playing field for all.

Anthia is widely acknowledged as a longstanding advocate for community participation in civic engagement.

Community service is a core value within Anthia's family. She fell in love with service above self when she was a child.

  • Volunteering at senior care homes during the holidays as a Girl Scout and hosting birthday parties at a live-in center for the disabled led to a passion for charitable work.

  • Anthia served as a Tiger Cubs and Wolf Den Leader with Boy Scouts when her adult sons were young.

  • As a Girl Scout alumna and leader, she has championed girls for over a decade. Numerous awards have been bestowed upon her by Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. She has served in twelve or more volunteer positions with the organization. It has been beyond rewarding to help girls like her daughter discover and reach their individual strengths.

  • Coach and serving as a Coach Ambassador were Anthia's roles with Girls On The Run North Georgia. She inspired girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths while building connection in a team setting. The girls adored her giving her the moniker, "Coach A".

Anthia's steadfast belief in giving back to her local commUnity has led her to serve or continue to

volunteer her time and talents with several civic organizations.

  • She was a Johns Creek Youth Football Association (JCYFA) Cheerleading Coach.

  • She formerly spearheaded Garments of Praise, an initiative taking clothes, shoes and toys to children and teens placed in emergency shelters; as well as domestic violence shelters.

Even in the midst of the pandemic, Anthia did not stop serving others. Currently, you might find her

  • lending a hand as an EMERGE Georgia alum

  • or with her family delivering food for Meals By Grace,

  • supporting Fulton County Remembrance Coalition events,

  • volunteering  with St. Paddy O'Pedal Ride to Conquer Childhood Cancer, or

  • participating in healing conversations with Braver Angels or

  • Race Relations Dialogue Alpharetta.

  • Recently, Anthia served as the first, North Fulton NAACP Religious Affairs Committee Chair.

  • As a member of the Rotary Club of Milton, Anthia served as Executive Treasurer, and was named the 2020-2021 Rotarian of the Year by the chapter.

  • She is currently a Rotarian with the Johns Creek North Fulton Rotary Club and a

  • District 6900 – Certified Volunteer with the Rotary Youth Exchange program.

According to Anthia, "Volunteering, no matter how small or large, is worthwhile in its own right."
