Anthia's top priority is her close-knit family. 

Married for 29 years, Anthia lives in Milton with her Navy veteran husband David. They are blessed with two adult sons, one teen daughter, one adult daughter, a son-in-law and one grandson.

I stand on the shoulders of my family with a rich tradition of public service and entrepreneurial success in Georgia, which allows me to think critically and listen objectively.

As the eldest of three, Anthia and her brothers grew up in a working-class family. The values of hard work and perseverance were stressed, along with faith in GOD. She has kept her parents words of encouragement in mind at all times. Anthia's mother, a retired Atlanta Public Schools paraprofessional, is her ultimate cheerleader. She was always told by her deceased birth father, who was a supervisor for Atlanta Police, "Anthia's mind is a terrible thing to waste. Use it." Anthia has a sweet friend in her bonus mom and constant prayer warrior in her second father, a career industrialist for General Motors and Sara Lee. Both fathers, Vietnam veterans.
